Having the expertise of a GP helps rule out red flags and screen or refer, as often overlapping symptom patterns could be a marker of an acute illness or underlying sinister pathology. Once an acute illness has been ruled out and a specialist intervention sought, we then take a deep dive into the covered part of the iceberg and target relevant testing to reduce the chronic disease burden.

This is done by a critical thinking and system/mechanism-based approach to illness by addressing triggers, mediators and precipitants. Understanding each individual’s unique physiology, biochemistry and genetic signature through cutting edge scientific testing we then formulate a working hypothesis delineating the cause and effect principles, working upstream as far as possible. We utilise the modifiable environmental factors such as diet, exercise, sleep, stress and relationships along with potent research-based supplements to address the root cause of the problem with the aim to restore and reset the health.

I approached Dr Chawla with a view to resetting my health in March and following a series of investigative tests we commenced. I am amazed & truly grateful for the outstanding progress to date. My pain has decreased substantially my movement increased & I have lost over 2 stone. Most important I have halved the methotrexate dose so far while my ESR and CRP levels along with white cell count are normal.
